About Us
The Houston Area
Texans are an Affiliate Chapter of The FreeRepublic Network
(FRN), a 501(c)(4) non profit corporation.
We are an independent
organization for which the Network provides key resources, information, and activism
tools, including organizational development, public and media relations, fundraising,
networking, and event planning.
We work to promote conservative values,
elect representatives at all levels that reflect those values and initiate and support
legislation that furthers these goals.
We promote capitalism, self reliance and
individual achievement. We involve ourselves in the community to advance these principles
and help lessen dependence on Government.
Membership in our Chapter is open to all
in the greater Houston area that share our values and goals. There are no dues - we
operate entirely on voluntary contributions from our members.
We have regular monthly meetings at
various locations in and around Houston. The FRN provides us with a discussion forum where
we meet daily for discussions and planning.
